HP Laserjet 1100 Fuser Heater Replacement Kit
This kit is for HP Laserjet 1100 owners who experience errors where the printer goes into an error mode. If your printer is not working push the big button and hold it down.
If you get the light sequence from Big light to the right light as
big / mid / right
<on> <on> <off> when you hold down the button it usually means the heater strip is bad.
You can do a measurement of the heater strip if you have a multimeter to verify the continuity is correct. 95% of the time the heater strip is the problem. Also never use a uninterruptable power supply with a laser printer they can cause malfunctions on these printers. If the heater is not the problem then the main board is the problem and it's time to just cut the losses and get a new printer.
