This kit is for HP Laserjet 4v 4mv owners who experience the issue where the paper will not fully exit or accordion wavy pages are exited out of the printer.  These printers are aging and the rubber will become slick and dryrotted.  This new roller will restore the function of the exit path for your workhorse laserjet.  To ensure the roller is not the issue please observe the roller turning out the exit path, you can take your finger and gently feel the roller rubber tire during the print job and ensure the roller is turning.  If the roller is NOT turning, then the printer drive gear assembly finger is probably broken off, this finger is a black plastic finger that is on the right side of the toner door casing, there should be a finger sticking out when the door is open.  When you close it, that finger will engage the gears to turn the exit roller in this kit.
