The video is in .wmv format which will play in any video player such as real player and VLC player or mediaplayer. Mac OSX as well as Windows based PC's play this format with no trouble. The videos are setup in small 2-5 minute chapters so you do 1 step at a time and minimize mistakes. The video is on cd and plays on your computer. Also check out the tray 2 clutch kit from the printer section of 4500/4550 if you are having issues with the tray 2 of your printer where paper comes out only a few inches out of the tray.  It may need a new clutch and it takes only a minute to test.
